Gene Principato has been managing sales, products, and profit lines in the health care, financial services, manufacturing, and information services industries for more than 20 years. He has managed Marketing Groups at several billion dollar businesses, including GE, TRW, Riggs National Bank, and Maryland National Bank. Gene’s strength is finding creative and cost- effective ways to increase sales and profits. He combines unique analytical, financial, and interpersonal skills with a practical approach to marketing, sales and business development.

As founder of The Marketing Difference LLC, Gene has helped mid-size and large business clients find new markets, develop new business, understand their customers’ changing needs, and improve the effectiveness of their marketing and sales programs, resulting in significant increases in revenue and profits.  In the health care field, Gene’s background includes extensive work in marketing for hospitals and other providers and negotiating contracts with Managed Care plans. He has been a guest lecturer for the New Jersey Hospital Association, the Home Health Assembly of New Jersey, and the Assisted Living Federation of America.  He has also served as an Expert Witness, and provided trial litigation support, in a high profile continuing care retirement community trial in New York.

In the international arena, Gene has managed a variety of foreign trade and investment projects, and developed foreign market entry strategies for regional companies seeking to expand business overseas. He has special expertise in the Far East and Europe.

Gene is a native of South Jersey and the Philadelphia area. He holds M.B.A. (International Business), M.S. (International Relations/ Economics), and B.A. degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, Georgetown University (School of Foreign Service), and The George Washington University. He has also taught M.B.A. Marketing courses at The Johns Hopkins University.

Peter Alois is a former diplomat and Senior Commercial Officer for the U.S. & Foreign Commercial Service, the international business promotion arm of the US Government. He retired after a 30 year career and is now applying his substantial international commercial promotion skills in the private sector.

During his government career, Peter served in the Middle East, Western Europe, Latin America, and Asia as well as Washington, D.C. and Miami, FL. He worked on several international promotion programs, including major design and construction projects in the Middle East as well as US trade shows for foreign business visitors. Peter also helped hundreds of American companies export their products or services through his marketing and advocacy programs. During his career, he developed numerous relationships with senior government officials and business leaders in the US and abroad. Peter speaks three foreign languages – Spanish, German and Italian.

Peter earned a B.S. in International Affairs from Georgetown University, and an M.B.A. in Applied Economics from George Washington University. He now lives in West Chester, PA.
